Proofing

We can provide a number of different ways of proofing your work prior to print. The choice depends on how critical certain aspects of your finished graphics need to be.

BLACK AND WHITE LASER PROOF
This is produced for you to check text, spellings, positioning, etc and are always provided free of charge for your approval if we have prepared your artwork.

COLOUR LASER PROOF
This is produced to give the client an idea of what the finished graphics will look like and where the specified colours will appear. Where necessary, we can provide this instead of a black and white proof for checking and approval. There is a charge for a colour laser proof as follows:
A4 (210x297mm) - £5.00
A3 (297x420mm) - £9.00

COLOUR MACHINE PROOF
This is produced by the machine that will produce your finished graphics on your chosen material. We offer 2 types of machine proof:

A Mini Proof gives you the opportunity to see and handle the printed material and can be used instead of a laser proof to give an idea of colour content.

A Colour Matching Proof is so-called because a section of the image is produced at full size to enable you to see exactly how your image will appear on the finished graphic panel at full size.

Top Tips!

Due to its use of mixes of the four process colours (cyan, magenta, yellow and black), digital printing cannot match exactly to specific Pantone colour references. However, most colours can be very closely matched. If colour matching is critical, we would insist on the production of a colour matching machine proof.
